Diamond 'Proggy' Mat

A traditional 'proggy' mat measuring. In beautiful vibrant colours using a variety of re-purposed wool fabric including tweed and repurposed wool garments.

The piece is created using a traditional rug making technique known as 'proggy', 'proddy' or 'clippy' in the North East of England. Strips of cut wool fabric are prodded through a hessian base to produce a beautiful and unique mat. The hand whipped edge provides a neat and robust finish.

The mat is designed to be used on the floor and will come with instructions for its care.
